Vita Wolfgang Hock, born in Bamberg, West Germany, studied fine arts at the university of Siegen with Prof. Heinz Pramann and Prof. Daniel Hees. His main subjects were painting, etching, photography and short film. He lived in Germany (Bamberg, Siegen, Wiesbaden) until 1993 and then in Brazil for 18 years (1993 to 2011).
Beginnings From 1977 to the early 1990s, he participated in numerous group exhibitions in Germany and Europe (Paris, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Amsterdam, etc.) and in North America (New York and Montreal in Canada) and solo exhibitions in Germany (1987 and 1988): He had his first exhibitions in 1977 and 1979 in Bamberg at the "Am Stephansberg" Gallery.
From then on, many exhibitions at the University of Siegen (in the foyer of the university and conference hall) and Villa Waldrich in 1983. IHK traveling exhibition in 1986 and 1988 in Siegen, Olpe, Bad Berleburg, Münster and Düsseldorf.

Certificate of Excellence in New York: In 1988, he received the “Certificate of Excellence” of the “Major International Art Competition” of “Art Horizons” in New York. During this time extensive trips to Italy (Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples etc.), Egypt (Cairo), Morocco (Marrakech), Greece, Turkey (Istanbul), France (especially Paris, Marseille etc.), London and in the USA (New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles etc.). At the end of the eighties and beginning of the nineties: Art teacher at some public and private schools, also at the Mosbacher Berg Gymnasium in Wiesbaden / Hessen in Germany.
From 2008 again intensified participation in exhibitions and solo exhibitions in Brazil and abroad: Several trips to Venice.
In 2009, amongst others, exhibition at DEBRET Gallery in Belém (1.6 million people), capital of Pará state / Brazil (at the Amazon river).
From 2010 exhibitions in Germany again: In 2010, one man exhibition at ARAUCO Gallery in Nürnberg / Germany, July to November: Pictures from Brazil - Blur boundaries.
Visitation of the graphic studios of Daniel Hees in Cologne, famous artist in Germany, his former art professor. Exhibition at DEBRET Gallery in Belém.
After long deliberations, the whole family moved in 2011 back to Germany, after 18 years in Brazil:
to Bamberg, his birthplace.

Publication in the art magazine ARTisSpectrum Vol. 31. In Italy: Award "Maestro D'Arte" and "Special Award Human Rights" in memory of Nelson Mandela, in Lecce / Italy. International art award "Raffaello Sanzio". Publication in the catalog "EFFETTO ARTE" together with the second biennial arts festival in Palermo / Sicily / Italy.
